We are a congregation of Presbyterians (PCUSA) and New England Congregationalists (UCC). We are two historically related congregations that federated in the early 1970’s. We worship together as a single church family made up of members who grew up in those traditions, who grew up in different traditions or who are new to church membership. We are diverse in age, marital status, sexual orientation, theological outlook and political perspective, but we are united in the belief that a church that attempts to experience the love of God within its community must also be a church that is socially conscious and politically involved. That sometimes leads to controversy and discomfort; but we believe that relevance to human life is more important than a “comfortable pew.” Join us in worship and in our activities and then consider becoming a member.

Three declarations guide our actions:

   2GlobalMinistriesUCC012 Global Mission Church
— A program of the UCC/Disciples of Christ designed to inspire and strengthen connections to mission outside the United States.  This designation helps us reach out into the world to accomplish meaningful global actions in an intentional, coordinated way.

2010 Peace and Justice Declaration
–re-affirming and expanding our commitment to vigorous peace and justice ministry

rainbow-clip-art-rainbow3 small   1995 Covenant for Inclusiveness
–welcoming and affirming our human diversity, and specifically declaring our welcome to the LGBT          community since homosexuality has become the focus of policies of exclusion in many churches

ADDITIONAL DECLARATIONS have been made in response to urgent needs and situations
