Volunteer Opportunities

Whether here in Saratoga Springs or out in the World, there are many ways to get involved and help our brothers and sisters around us. Learn how you can help below.

Lifeworks community action

Lifeworks Community Action provides aid to low-and/or fixed- income people and families in crisis. Volunteers needed on occasional or weekly basis for office work, to pick up and deliver food, work in the daily soup kitchen which takes place in our fellowship hall.

Rural food delivery

Volunteers needed to help package and/or deliver boxes of food to more than 40 families in Saratoga County twice each month. Packing volunteers meet at 8am on the Saturday morning before deliveries to put the food into boxes for each family. On Sunday morning between 9:30am and 12:30pm delivery volunteers pick up and deliver the boxes to a family or two. Lack of transportation and health issues prevent these individuals from visiting the pantry on their own. Volunteers generally help out with one delivery every two or three months.

Rebuilding Together Saratoga County

The PUCC supports the efforts of RTSC and its mission to repair and weatherize residences of veterans and disabled individuals so they may stay in their own homes.

Code Blue Saratoga

Code Blue Saratoga is a walk-in, emergency homeless shelter in Saratoga Springs that offers a hot meal and a warm, safe place to sleep when temperatures are below freezing or there is significant snowfall. It is supported by the city and community organizations, funded by donations and grants and staffed by volunteers. Many volunteers are needed at the shelter. A team of volunteers from PUCC cooks dinner once a month when it is open. Learn more about Cold Blue here.
